Permission to light yourself up.
So many of us grew up with big dreams. We wanted to be astronauts or surgeons. Famous Athletes or movie stars. We knew we could be anything we wanted to be. We imagined and created without boundaries. Somewhere along the way, we stopped dreaming. I, too, had the desire to do something big. I wanted to change the world somehow. I wanted to be a business owner, a writer, or a veterinarian. (There was even a point I wanted to be a football player!) I gave up on my dreams, as too many of us do. I didn’t feel worthy. How could little ol’ me make an impact on the world?
Now, I’m very clear on how I can impact people. Through my videos and writing, I encourage people to heal. I choose to live my life as an example. I want you to know, without any doubt, that you are where you are supposed to be. I also want you to know that your life gets to be amazing and beautiful. Give yourself permission to light yourself up!
Years ago, I read a quote from Isaac Newton that resonated with me: “If I have seen further than others, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” This quote reminds me daily that so much of what I’ve learned and continue to share comes from people who came before me. I am honored to share it with you.
